MAGALLANES creates metal luggage for the journeys that connect work, life and discovery. Our name is inspired by Magallanes, the Spanish name of explorer Ferdinand Magellan, and the curiosity and perseverance that keep people moving forward.
From an idea to a travel companion
Our story began in 2011 with a question: how could metal-forming techniques be used to make luggage? Research into applying metal drawing to suitcase production began in 2012, and the resulting products reached the market in 2024.
In 2025, MAGALLANES was established as a brand, alongside the introduction of a front-opening luggage design. That development reflects a practical focus: making the things you carry easier to reach while you travel.

From a business trip to a weekend away, we believe luggage should bring together considered design and everyday usefulness. Our approach combines a distinctive metal exterior with organized interiors and thoughtful access to travel essentials.
Our front-opening design lets you reach items in the front compartment without opening the main suitcase. It is one example of the small details that shape our approach to travel.
