Warranty
Our Promise
Built for the journey. Backed for 10 years.
Magallanes luggage is designed for long-lasting travel.
We stand behind the materials and workmanship of our products. Subject to the terms below, eligible Magallanes luggage is covered by a 10-Year Limited Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal travel use.
This warranty is provided by Suzhou Molan Luggage Co., Ltd., operator of Magallanes.
1. Covered Products
This Limited Warranty applies to eligible Magallanes luggage purchased directly through:
magallanes-travel.com
The product must be used for its intended purpose as personal travel luggage.
This warranty does not apply to products used outside their intended purpose or for commercial, rental, or other non-personal applications.
2. Who Is Covered
This warranty applies to:
- The original purchaser of the product; or
- The original recipient, if the product was purchased as a gift.
A valid order number, receipt, or other acceptable proof of purchase is required when making a warranty claim.
This warranty is not transferable.
3. Warranty Period
Eligible Magallanes luggage is covered for 10 years from the original date of purchase.
The warranty applies only to defects that arise under normal and intended use during the warranty period.
Repairing or replacing a product does not restart or extend the original 10-year warranty period.
Any repaired or replacement product will remain covered for the remainder of the original warranty period.
4. What the Warranty Covers
The Magallanes 10-Year Limited Warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship that affect the normal function of the luggage.
Subject to inspection and confirmation by Magallanes, covered defects may include manufacturing-related failure of:
- The aluminum shell or structural frame
- Wheels
- Carry handles
- Telescopic handle
- Locking mechanisms
- Other structural or functional components originally supplied with the luggage
A problem is covered only where it results from a defect in materials or workmanship under normal travel use.
The existence of damage alone does not necessarily mean that the damage is covered by this warranty.
5. What the Warranty Does Not Cover
This Limited Warranty does not cover damage or deterioration resulting from normal use or circumstances unrelated to manufacturing defects.
Examples include:
- Scratches, scuffs, marks, or surface wear
- Dents caused by impact or baggage handling
- Changes in color or finish over time
- Cosmetic wear that does not affect normal use
- Damage caused by airlines, airports, carriers, or other third parties
- Accidents, drops, crushing, impact, or misuse
- Improper handling or storage
- Unauthorized repairs, alterations, or modifications
- Damage caused by using the product for purposes other than normal personal travel
- Damage caused by liquids, fire, extreme heat, chemicals, or other external factors
- Loss of accessories or removable components
- Forgotten combination lock codes
- Theft or loss of the luggage or its contents
- Damage to personal belongings stored inside the luggage
- Used, second-hand, refurbished, or resold products where valid original proof of purchase cannot be provided
- Products purchased from unauthorized sellers
Aluminum naturally develops visible signs of travel over time. Scratches, marks, and dents that occur through ordinary use are generally considered normal wear rather than manufacturing defects.
This approach is similar to PREZOR's warranty, which distinguishes functional manufacturing failures from normal travel wear such as scratches, dents and color changes. Prezor
6. Airline or Carrier Damage
Damage caused during transportation by an airline, airport, courier, railway operator, cruise line, or other carrier is not considered a manufacturing defect and is therefore not covered by this Limited Warranty.
If your luggage is damaged while in the custody of a carrier, we recommend reporting the damage directly to the carrier as soon as possible and following its baggage-damage claim procedure.
We may provide reasonable product information to assist with your claim where available.
7. How to Make a Warranty Claim
If you believe your Magallanes luggage has a defect covered by this warranty, please contact:
Please include:
- Your full name
- Order number or valid proof of purchase
- Product model or description
- A clear description of the problem
- Clear photographs showing the damage or defect
For problems involving moving components such as wheels, handles, locks, or the telescopic handle, we may also ask you to provide a short video showing the issue.
Please do not send your product to us before receiving return or warranty instructions.
Providing complete information will help us assess your claim more efficiently.
PREZOR follows essentially the same evidence process, requesting proof of purchase, photographs and, where useful, a short video showing the problem. Prezor
8. Warranty Assessment
Each warranty claim will be reviewed individually.
We may request additional information or evidence if reasonably necessary to determine:
- Whether the product is covered by this warranty
- Whether the warranty period remains valid
- Whether the problem resulted from a defect in materials or workmanship
- The appropriate remedy
Submitting a warranty claim does not automatically mean that the claim has been approved.
9. Repair or Replacement
If we determine that a defect is covered by this Limited Warranty, Magallanes may, at its discretion and where permitted by applicable law:
- Repair the defective product or component; or
- Replace the defective product or component.
If the same model, finish, or color is no longer available, we may provide a reasonably comparable replacement product or component.
Replacement products may therefore differ in color, finish, or minor design details from the original product.
Where appropriate, we may repair or replace only the affected component rather than the entire suitcase.
No cash refund is provided under this warranty solely because a covered product requires repair or replacement, except where required by applicable law or separately agreed by Magallanes.
10. Warranty Shipping
If we confirm that your claim qualifies for warranty service, we will provide instructions regarding any required shipment or return.
Do not ship a product before receiving authorization and shipping instructions from us.
Where a confirmed manufacturing defect requires the product to be returned for warranty service, Magallanes will arrange or reimburse reasonable return shipping costs where required by applicable law or confirmed by our customer service team.
Costs resulting from an unapproved shipment, incorrect shipping method, or shipment to an unauthorized address may not be reimbursed.
11. Repairs Outside Warranty Coverage
If we determine that the problem is not covered by this Limited Warranty, we may inform you of any repair or replacement options that are available.
Any charges relating to non-warranty service will be communicated before work is carried out.
Availability of replacement parts or repair services is not guaranteed indefinitely.
12. Your Legal Rights
This Limited Warranty provides additional contractual protection and does not replace or reduce any mandatory rights available to you under applicable consumer law.
United Kingdom
If you are a UK consumer, your statutory rights relating to goods remain unaffected by this warranty.
Under UK law, a commercial guarantee must state its contents and essential claim information clearly and must make clear that the consumer's statutory rights are not affected. 立法网

Magallanes is not responsible under this Limited Warranty for:
- Loss of use
- Loss of personal belongings
- Travel disruption
- Airline or transportation expenses
- Hotel expenses
- Lost income
- Indirect or consequential losses resulting from luggage damage
where such exclusions are permitted by applicable law.
